el Castell d'Alaró figura como uno de los refugios de la red del GR-221 gestionada por el Consell de Mallorca; plazas limitadas y reserva previa. Los accesos discurren por fincas y camino rodado con tráfico restringido en su tramo alto (no verificado en fuente oficial).

sector dentro del ámbito protegido de la Serra de Tramuntana, macizo calcáreo con presencia documentada de aves rupícolas (águilas y buitre negro) en la sierra: conviene verificar vetos temporales por nidificación antes de programar. No se ha localizado resolución oficial concreta (ver dudas).
