La vertiente cántabra de Picos: el teleférico de Fuente Dé como ascensor a la alta montaña, los puertos de Áliva, la comarca de Liébana y el macizo de Ándara, más bajo y minero. Es la puerta más rápida al terreno de 2.000 m de toda la cordillera.

    todo el año. Jun–sep concentra la mayor parte de la demanda y las colas del teleférico; dic–mar es la ventana de raquetas y actividad invernal.

    Restrictions and regulations

    Dentro del Parque Nacional: acampada libre prohibida, prohibido dormir en vehículo fuera de zonas autorizadas incluso en aparcamientos permitidos, velocidad limitada a 20 km/h en las pistas autorizadas, BTT solo por carreteras y pistas señaladas. Grupos organizados de más de diez personas con autorización expresa. El teleférico tiene aforo limitado y genera colas largas en agosto.

    Parque Nacional. Escalada prohibida en zonas de Reserva; vivac limitado a actividades de montaña y escalada, máximo 3 noches y en cota alta. Prohibido entrar en cuevas de hielo: el Parque advierte expresamente de que el hielo fino supone riesgo mortal.

    Restrictions and regulations

    Está en el desfiladero de La Hermida, en el entorno del Parque Nacional; el PRUG de 2026 limita ferratas e instalaciones similares a zonas ZUM y ZAT dentro del Parque. Verificar la clasificación exacta de esta ferrata antes de comercializar. Cantabria exige inscripción en el registro autonómico de empresas de turismo activo.
