    Tramo de la costa este de Gran Canaria sometido al mismo régimen de alisio acelerado que Pozo y Vargas. Arinaga cuenta además con un área marina muy usada para buceo desde costa. No hemos podido verificar en fuentes solventes el detalle de zonificación ni el nivel exacto de estos dos spots.

    viento fuerte abr–sep

    What it's like

    Playa de arena con callaos en la costa este, cerca de Ingenio y del aeropuerto. Vientos ideales del N-NE y SO, especialmente fuertes de abril a septiembre; la ola rompe en varios picos de derechas e izquierdas, algunos con paredes grandes y tubos. La web oficial de turismo de Gran Canaria es explícita: 'no es una playa para novatos, es territorio radical'. La entrada es más fácil con marea baja.

    Zona protegida próxima; verificar autorización para actividad comercial con el Ayuntamiento de Agüimes.

    What it's like

    Considerada la capital mundial del windsurf de olas. Viento del NE side-onshore que en verano sopla de forma constante con rachas de 20-30 nudos y más, y olas de derechas con largos recorridos. Fondo y orilla de roca. Las fuentes oficiales y especializadas coinciden en que NO es apto para principiantes.
