- Beach break de arena de ~2,5 km, sin fondo de roca en la zona central. En primavera-verano olas de aproximadamente 0,5–1,5 m con agua a 15–20 °C; en otoño-invierno el tamaño sube a 1–3 m y el nivel exigido pasa a medio-avanzado. Para principiantes se recomienda marea media-baja, cuando las olas rompen más suaves cerca de la orilla.

- La ordenanza municipal reguladora del uso del arenal zonifica la playa: seis espacios para surf u otros deportes acuáticos y seis para bañistas, separados por señalización (bandera roja/azul para la zona de deportes acuáticos). El Ayuntamiento, con el visto bueno de Costas, concede permisos para la práctica de surf/bodyboard. Los canales de acceso balizados para embarcaciones y tablas están prohibidos al baño.
