Valle atlántico del Pirineo de Lleida, sede de Baqueira Beret, la mayor estación de España por desnivel y la de mayor volumen de esquiadores de Cataluña. Combina esquí alpino de alta gama con freeride, travesía en el entorno de Aigüestortes/Colomers y fondo en el Pla de Beret.

Único valle catalán de vertiente atlántica, con administración propia (Conselh Generau d'Aran) y una red de refugios de alta montaña propia. En verano concentra ascensiones granitíquas (Montardo), circos lacustres (Colomers) y barranquismo; en invierno es la capital del esquí catalán.
