El mayor núcleo turístico de Canarias por camas hoteleras, con playas artificiales muy protegidas ideales para SUP, kayak y buceo, y a la vez arrecifes de izquierdas potentes y con localismo denso en Playa de Las Américas. Los acantilados de Los Gigantes añaden kayak, buceo y actividades de costa.

OJO: el spot de surf de La Caleta lo cataloga la web oficial como practicable solo en verano y EXCLUSIVAMENTE para expertos, así que no debe confundirse la playa turística con el pico.

Bahía portuaria muy resguardada, con agua tranquila casi todo el año; figura entre las zonas oficiales de kayak de mar de Tenerife. Sin olas: es el escenario típico de bautismos de SUP y kayak y de salidas de snorkel.

La web oficial de turismo indica que no se requiere permiso especial para el kayak; se recomienda vigilar las condiciones. Tráfico de embarcaciones de puerto: hay que mantenerse fuera del canal.

What it's like
Acantilados de varios cientos de metros cayendo directamente al Atlántico. Figura entre las zonas oficiales de kayak de mar de Tenerife; el litoral permite acceder a cuevas volcánicas y avistar cetáceos. Zona de buceo con puntos como Barranco Seco y La Atlántida (hasta ~25 m).
Restrictions and regulations
El canal entre Tenerife y La Gomera es Zona Especial de Conservación por presencia de cetáceos: la observación está regulada (distancias y velocidades). Verificar antes de ofertar avistamiento.

Conjunto de arrecifes volcánicos (La Izquierda, El Bunker, El Dedo, Las Palmeras, Derecha del Cartel, El Conquistador) frente al núcleo turístico. Izquierdas tuberas y pesadas sobre fondo de arrecife; la web oficial de turismo de Tenerife los cataloga como nivel intermedio-experto. Localismo notablemente denso. NO es zona de primera clase pese a estar rodeada de hoteles.

Restrictions and regulations
espacio natural protegido con acceso restringido y reserva previa obligatoria. Horarios: verano (1 jun–15 sep) entrada de 8:00 a 10:30 y cierre a las 13:30; invierno (16 sep–31 may) entrada de 8:30 a 11:30 y cierre a las 14:30. Edad mínima 5 años; menores de 16 acompañados de adulto; calzado de montaña y CASCO obligatorios en todo el recorrido; no se admiten animales. Tel. 922 780 078.
