Costa norte expuesta al Atlántico, con olas potentes sobre roca y fuerte componente local, más una excepción clara de aguas tranquilas: Las Teresitas. El macizo de Anaga aporta acantilados y actividades de costa.

    What it's like

    Playas remotas de arena negra y cantos bajo los acantilados de Anaga, con picos de derechas e izquierdas sobre fondo mixto de roca y arena. Las guías especializadas las sitúan en intermedio-avanzado. Son playas conocidas por corrientes y por ausencia de servicios de socorrismo permanente: pese a que algún catálogo las liste como aptas para 'principiantes a expertos', el consenso especializado y la exposición al Atlántico desaconsejan la iniciación.

    What it's like

    Núcleo del surf de la costa norte, con acantilados y series fiables de 0,6-1,5 m que se vuelven pesadas con swell grande; la sección de El Charco ofrece recorridos largos sobre arrecife. La web oficial cataloga El Roquete (La Laguna) como intermedio-experto con fondo de roca. Hay piscinas naturales aptas para snorkel con mar en calma.

    What it's like

    Playa de arena importada protegida por un dique: aguas poco profundas, fondo de arena y resguardo frente a las marejadas del norte. Es de las pocas playas del norte de Tenerife realmente aptas para principiantes de SUP y kayak, y figura entre las zonas oficiales de kayak de mar de la isla. Hay escuela de SUP con alquiler y clases.

    Entorno del Parque Rural de Anaga (Reserva de la Biosfera). Actividad comercial en la arena sujeta a autorización municipal.

    What it's like

    Beach break potente con take-off rápido y hombros contundentes. La web oficial de turismo lo cataloga como intermedio-experto y ADVIERTE expresamente de las corrientes para principiantes. Comunidad local muy asentada.

    El rompeolas genera olas más largas y suaves, el único spot del norte con carácter parecido al del sur y buen terreno de longboard. La web oficial de turismo, sin embargo, cataloga Baja de Martiánez como intermedio-experto: hay que distinguir la orilla protegida del pico exterior.
