El polo de vela ligera y windsurf más importante de Baleares y uno de los mayores del Mediterráneo español: dos bahías amplias, protegidas y de fondo de arena, con embat térmico fiable en verano y una concentración histórica de escuelas y clubes. Aquí se han disputado campeonatos europeos y mundiales de windsurf y catamarán.

    What it's like

    Núcleo pequeño entre Alcúdia y el Mal Pas, con orilla rocosa y calas menores. Menos masificado que la playa grande y con fondos aptos para snorkel; agua tranquila salvo con tramuntana.

    Fondeo sobre Posidonia prohibido (Decret 25/2018). Proximidad al Parc Natural de s'Albufera de Mallorca (zona húmeda litoral con acceso regulado); su afección exacta a actividades náuticas no se ha podido verificar.

    What it's like

    Playa de arena de varios kilómetros, pendiente muy suave y agua plana con viento de tierra. El embat vespertino aporta viento térmico constante en verano. Es el terreno de aprendizaje más benévolo de Mallorca junto con Pollença.

    Restrictions and regulations

    Fondeo sobre Posidonia prohibido (Decret 25/2018). Zona de baño balizada con alta ocupación en verano; conviene verificar las ordenanzas municipales de Alcúdia y Muro antes de operar en la orilla.

    What it's like

    Prolongación de la playa de Alcúdia en la bahía, arena fina, entrada muy tendida y agua plana. Terreno seguro de iniciación con embat.

    Restrictions and regulations

    Playa colindante con el Parc Natural de s'Albufera de Mallorca; el acceso motorizado y el uso de la duna están regulados. Fondeo sobre Posidonia prohibido (Decret 25/2018). Verificar ordenanza municipal de Muro.

    When

    abr–oct; el embat de verano es el motor de la temporada

    What it's like

    Bahía cerrada por el cabo de Formentor con fondo de arena, poca profundidad en la orilla y agua plana. El embat (brisa térmica de mar) entra por la tarde en verano de forma muy regular, lo que convierte la bahía en un aula natural de vela ligera y windsurf. Con tramuntana fuerte de invierno la bahía se pica y deja de ser terreno de iniciación.

    Fondeo sobre Posidonia prohibido (Decret 25/2018). Balizamientos y canales de entrada/salida de embarcaciones en temporada; la zonificación exacta de kite en la bahía no se ha podido verificar en fuente oficial.

    oct–mar (surf); resto del año casi siempre plano

    What it's like

    Uno de los pocos puntos de Mallorca con cierta constancia de ola en invierno, con mar de fondo del NE. Fuera de los temporales de invierno el mar suele estar plano. No es un spot de primeras clases de surf: la ola aparece con temporal, es corta y no hay una temporada estable que sostenga un curso.
