Restrictions and regulations
parque nacional desde 1954, con zona de acampada regulada en el interior de la caldera sujeta a permiso previo. El acceso a la cabecera de Los Brecitos se realiza habitualmente en taxi 4x4 desde Los Llanos por la restricción al tráfico particular; las condiciones exactas de permiso de acampada y de acceso rodado no se han podido verificar en fuente oficial (ver dudas).

Restrictions and regulations
punto más alto de La Palma (2.428 m), dentro del Parque Nacional de la Caldera de Taburiente y sede del Observatorio Astrofísico, con las limitaciones propias de una instalación científica (contaminación lumínica y accesos). Acceso rodado por la LP-4 desde Mirca o desde Hoya Grande.

Restrictions and regulations
ATENCIÓN: la erupción del 19 de septiembre al 13 de diciembre de 2021 afectó gravemente a la vertiente occidental del Parque Natural de Cumbre Vieja. No se ha podido verificar qué tramos del itinerario y de los accesos están hoy abiertos ni si persisten cierres o desvíos (ver dudas). No publicar el recorrido como transitable sin confirmar con el Cabildo de La Palma.
