What Hoces del Río Duratón is

Parque Natural de 5.037 ha (Ley 5/1989) en Sepúlveda, Sebúlcor y Carrascal del Río, con 27 km de cañón calizo de hasta 100 m de escarpe y la que está considerada mayor colonia reproductora de buitre leonado de Europa. El acceso a las zonas de reserva está limitado por permiso durante la cría.

    todo el año, pero del 1 de enero al 31 de julio hace falta permiso en las zonas de reserva; agosto–diciembre es la ventana libre

    Restrictions and regulations

    La época de cría de las aves va del 1 de enero al 31 de julio y conlleva limitaciones en las zonas de reserva: el tránsito queda limitado, hace falta PERMISO (se gestiona en la Casa del Parque, en la antigua iglesia de Santiago de Sepúlveda) y NO se admiten grupos de más de 5 personas. La senda que recorre el borde del río requiere permiso en ese mismo periodo; es de dificultad fácil-media, unas 3 h de ida, y se puede hacer también en bicicleta. En el parque están prohibidos el fuego fuera de zonas habilitadas, la acampada libre, la caza y la navegación a motor recreativa o industrial; cualquier otra actividad requiere autorización de la Junta Rectora y la Consejería.
