What it's like
Cala de callaos negros en la costa oeste, con las cuevas de Ajuy y acantilados sedimentarios. Mar abierto al oeste: solo practicable con mar plano. No es playa de baño tranquilo ni de iniciación al surf.

todo el año; oleaje constante por exposición oeste
What it's like
Playa de arena abierta al oeste, con oleaje muy constante alimentado por el Atlántico. Las guías la describen como olas potentes, izquierdas huecas y picos A-frame contundentes, y como meca de surfistas experimentados; también hay fuentes que la venden como apta para todos los niveles. Dada la exposición, las corrientes y el tamaño frecuente, NO debe tratarse como spot de iniciación por defecto: solo días pequeños y con instructor que conozca las corrientes. Es habitual la señalización de bandera amarilla/roja por oleaje y corrientes.
