Cañones calizos labrados por los ríos Irati y Salazar, con paredes verticales de hasta 300 m y una de las mayores concentraciones de buitre leonado de Europa (unas 477 parejas en el conjunto Leyre-Arbayún). Zona de senderismo corto y observación de aves más que de escalada.

Restrictions and regulations
ZEC y ZEPA (ZEPA desde 1990, ZEC desde 2017). El interior de la foz NO está acondicionado para recorrerse y el acceso al cauce está desaconsejado/prohibido por seguridad y por conservación; la visita se hace desde el mirador de Iso, en la carretera Lumbier–Ezcároz. Colonia de buitre leonado, alimoche, quebrantahuesos, águila real, halcón peregrino y búho real: no es zona de escalada.

Restrictions and regulations
Reserva Natural con centro de interpretación en Lumbier. Recorrido por el antiguo trazado ferroviario, con aparcamiento de pago gestionado localmente (no verificado en fuente oficial). La observación se hace desde el sendero; no consta escalada autorizada.

Restrictions and regulations
Espacio ZEC/ZEPA Sierra de Leire y Foz de Arbaiun. Existen senderos locales (SL) señalizados que parten del entorno del Monasterio de Leyre. Actividad cinegética regulada en varios cotos dentro del espacio: conviene evitar batidas en temporada de caza.
