Arenal de varios kilómetros considerado ejemplo de conservación del entorno. El pico de referencia es la derecha frente al faro de Lariño, que se masifica en buenas condiciones.

Playa de tamaño medio en zona protegida, con picos variables, secciones rápidas y formación de tubos. Playa expuesta y con fama de corrientes: no se ha encontrado ninguna fuente que la recomiende para iniciación.

What it's like
Una de las playas más célebres de Galicia por la calidad de sus olas, en la desembocadura de la ría de Lires: picos variables con paredes y tubos, especialmente con marea baja, y un point break rocoso de olas potentes. Las escuelas locales sitúan la iniciación en primavera-verano, con aguas abrigadas del viento del nordeste; con swell de otoño-invierno es terreno de nivel, no de primera clase.

Es un sendero creado por un grupo de particulares entre 2012 y 2020; la propia organización advierte de que no se responsabiliza del estado actual del trazado. Recorre además zonas ZEC del litoral. Señalización y mantenimiento no institucionales: relevante para la seguridad del guiado.

Zona de Especial Conservación litoral. El coasteering depende de mareas y de mar de fondo: no es actividad de todo tiempo. No he verificado qué titulación exige la Xunta para coasteering ni si hay zonas vetadas.

Restrictions and regulations
ZEC «Carnota - Monte Pindo» (4.629 ha, Red Natura 2000) con flora singular protegida (Quercus lusitanica, Iris boissieri). El incendio del 11-13 de septiembre de 2013 quemó unas 2.000 ha y hay medidas de conservación en curso. No he verificado si existe regulación específica de escalada.
