Tramo entre Caión y Laxe donde se concentra el mayor volumen de surfcamps de Galicia. Razo-Baldaio es el arenal de aprendizaje por excelencia; Malpica y Laxe aportan picos más exigentes y la laguna de Baldaio da terreno para SUP.

    Playa urbana junto al puerto de Malpica, con ambiente animado y paseo marítimo. La comarca combina beach breaks y reef breaks; los picos de roca no son terreno de iniciación.

    Arenal continuo con Baldaio, descrito por las escuelas locales como playa de izquierdas y derechas apta para todos los niveles. Mar abierto al Atlántico: con marejada fuerte deja de ser terreno de iniciación.

    Restrictions and regulations

    Art Surf Camp declara operar con permiso del Concello de Carballo y reconocimiento de la Federación Galega de Surf: indicio de que la actividad comercial en la playa requiere autorización municipal. Verificar el trámite exacto para instructores autónomos.

    What it's like

    Playa de arena blanca con varios picos que cambian con la marea y el estado de los bancos de arena; olas potentes y tuberas. Una de las playas más consistentes de Galicia. La potencia la hace poco adecuada para primeras clases salvo con mar pequeño.

    Beach break con olas consistentes en un entorno de dunas y bosque; las fuentes locales lo describen como apto para todos los niveles. Playa salvaje y sin vigilancia: exige criterio del instructor.

    Complejo de playa, dunas y laguna litoral. La laguna permite rutas guiadas de paddle surf en agua protegida; la playa exterior es beach break abierto.

    Restrictions and regulations

    Complejo dunar y lagunar de Baldaio incluido en la Red Natura (ZEC). No se ha verificado el régimen concreto de autorizaciones para navegación recreativa en la laguna: obligatorio comprobarlo antes de publicar oferta de SUP/kayak.
