Tramo entre el cabo de Trafalgar y la ensenada de Bolonia. Playas enormes y poco masificadas, viento de levante y poniente aprovechable y una comunidad de kite en crecimiento; Bolonia funciona como alternativa a Tarifa y como spot de surf de invierno.

    todo el año, mejor primavera y otoño

    What it's like

    Playa urbana larga de arena, resguardada del oeste por el cabo de Trafalgar. Opción secundaria de kite, con viento menos constante que Tarifa. Buen agua para SUP y kayak hacia los acantilados de La Breña.

    Restrictions and regulations

    En verano hay que consultar con los socorristas antes de despegar el equipo. Los acantilados y marismas contiguos forman el Parque Natural de La Breña y Marismas del Barbate: actividades de turismo activo sujetas a su normativa. No verificado el detalle.

    When

    surf en invierno; viento mar–oct

    What it's like

    Ensenada preservada con gran duna, similar a Valdevaqueros. Es el spot ideal de surf de invierno de la comarca cuando no hay viento, y zona clásica de carro a vela. Con levante fuerte el efecto de la ensenada suaviza algo la intensidad respecto a Tarifa.

    Restrictions and regulations

    Playa dentro del Parque Natural del Estrecho, cuyo PRUG fue aprobado por el Decreto 130/2024, de 23 de julio (BOJA 146 de 29-jul-2024), con normativa específica sobre uso público y turismo activo. La ordenanza municipal de Tarifa reserva tramos de Bolonia exclusivamente para bañistas en temporada; el conjunto arqueológico de Baelo Claudia limita el acceso rodado. Verificar zonificación vigente con el Ayuntamiento de Tarifa.

    When

    mar–oct para viento

    What it's like

    Playa muy larga y abierta de arena, a unos 40 km de Tarifa. Recibe tanto levante como poniente, con menos intensidad y menos gente que Tarifa: por eso las escuelas la usan como alternativa cuando el levante en el Estrecho es excesivo. Con poniente hay shorebreak.

    En verano hay que consultar con los socorristas y respetar las zonas de baño balizadas antes de montar el equipo. No verificado texto de ordenanza.
