Mountain bike lessons and rides with qualified technicians
Mountain biking covers four quite different disciplines — cross country, enduro, downhill and e-bike — each with its own technique and terrain. A typical session lasts two to four hours. You can bring your own bike or rent one; each technician states on their profile whether it is included.

- 2 – 4 h

- Your own bike or a rental

What you will learn
Your instructor adapts the content to your starting point, but this is the usual progression.
Beginner
Body position, progressive braking, gear use and lines on fire road and easy singletrack. Basic bike fit.
Intermediate
Technical singletrack: berms, drops, weight control on descents and rolling over obstacles.
Advanced
Enduro and downhill: controlled jumps and drops, fast lines, reading lines at speed and managing a long day physically.
What is included and what you bring
Included in the lesson
- Route and drill design based on your level
- Bike setup and mechanical check before setting off
- Basic repair kit and first aid kit
- The technician’s liability insurance
What you bring
- A bike in good condition, or request a rental when booking
- Helmet — mandatory — and gloves
- Water, snacks and a spare inner tube
- Glasses and weather-appropriate clothing
Skills sessions are shorter and very focused; guided rides take half a day or more. Each technician publishes distance, elevation and discipline.
How much it costs
No prices published yet
The price shown here will be the real range of the offer published by verified instructors. Until there is offer, we show no figure at all.
Best time of year
The best window is March to November, with spring and autumn as the ideal season: firm dirt and mild temperatures. In summer you ride early, and in winter activity moves to coastal and dry inland areas.

Safety and qualifications
In mountain biking most serious crashes come from riding above the trail’s level or from a poorly checked bike. Before setting off the technician checks brakes, tyre pressure and bike fit, and picks a route that matches the group’s level. A helmet is always mandatory. They carry a repair kit and first aid kit and set the pace to the slowest rider.
Required qualification
- A cycling sports technician or mountain bike guide qualification recognised by the Spanish Cycling Federation.
- First aid training for the mountain environment.
- Liability insurance covering mountain bike guiding and instruction.
We verify qualifications sport by sport: an instructor can be published for one sport and still under review for another. We also check that their liability insurance covers that specific activity.
